This story is set in an Italian centre for identification and assistance. Siamak, an Iranian journalist, has arrived in Italy with Ramin, his young son, escaping the censorship he had to face in his country, where he was about to be arrested. The young boy and his father survived the shipwreck of the boat they were sailing on, but sadly Ramin’s mother didn’t make it. Around them, other immigrants are resigned to living illegally, either surviving with cash jobs and waiting for better times, or choosing the apparently easier and more appealing path of organized crime. Siamak tries to explain their new situation to his son by inventing the tale of a storyteller who is forced to leave the Land of the Blue People with his son, and go to the Land of the Candid People, where nobody can see him.
