Exhibit of Congolese comics TALATALA in Brussels

Within the cultural Festival "Yambi", 150 artists coming from Congo will be hosted in Brussels and Wallony and will express the vitality and creativity of contemporary Congo. The YAMBI programme includes the comics exhibition TALATALA. In Brussels, the exhibit will be opened from Septembre 5 to October 27, 2007 in the Espace Wallonie hall, close to Grand Place and the boulevard Anspach, in the very centre of Brussels.
A smaller version of the exhibition will be on view in the Wallonie-Bruxelles Community in the following towns: in Virton from September 13 to September 26, in Ottignies from October 1 to October 13, in Liège from October 17 to November 2. In September 25 the asbl Entre Deux Mondes will organize a une series of public meeting, in collaboration with the NGO Coopération par l’Education et la Culture (CEC): « From Apolosa to Zamadrogo, the adventures of Congolese comics », meetings with the authors invited, notably Denis Boyau, Asimba Bathy, Dick Esale, Thembo Kash, Tetshim, Hallain Paluku, Fifi Mukuna, Pat Masioni, Al Mata, Ekunde. Moreover, in collaboration with Annoncer la Couleur Bruxelles and the Belgian-Congolese asbl Illusafrica, Entre Deux Mondes will held for the younger public a pedagogical atelier aiming at deepening the four themes presented in the exhibit, which focuses on 4 aspects of daily life in Kinshasa.
