Mister Sako is imprisoned and tortured under a false accusation of robbery. In reality he had bought a used car without knowing of its uncertain origin.
Justice fails; as he cannot afford to pay his lawyer, he is abandoned in prison by him. Sako is left with a totally useless document in his hands, the Human Rights Declaration. It states that nobody can be arbitrarily arrested, imprisoned, or exhiled.
