It’s midnight and a young boy is late in returning home. His father gets his whip out to punish him. The smaller daughter is frightened, her mother is angry because she thinks that her son is old enough to have a dialogue with other adults.
As he reaches his home, the young boy justifies his lateness by blaming his new work: he sells turkey meat. The father forgives his son and asks him to cook a “fu fu”, a Congolese national dish made by cassava flour and maize.
