If the Mediterranean sea could talk – Those who dream of Europe and decide to leave their country and emigrate are often stopped in their tracks: the journey is very expensive and highly dangerous. Nobody knows the exact number of bodies retained by the Sahara, the people pursued and abused by the Moroccan policy, the ones wounded by the barbed wire that marks the frontier with Africa or those swallowed by the Mediterranean. Neveretheless, the majority of those returning continue to believe in their dream. The powerful people of the world and African politicians should reflect on this tragedy and draw a lesson for the future.
