Within the education to development project Matite africane, Lai-momo edited and published the pedagogical book "Matite africane. Percorsi di avvicinamento a realtà africane. Fumetto e vignetta satirica", ed. Lai-momo, Bologna 2001, pp. 112. The book shows 5 ways to discover African culture, society, problems and richness through African comics. It is addressed to teachers and contains a wide number of comics, satirical strips and didactical sheets to deepen in the culture, the economics and the society of African countries. The book contains many colour and black & white illustrations.
In the context of the project "Matite africane in Europa" (see par. 3.1), Lai-momo published a colour catalogue, Matite Africane, presenting a selection of African comics, with an introduction to African comics and their artistic aspects, together with biographical notes on the comic-strip writers (Matite africane. Fumetti e vignette dall'Africa, ed. Lai-momo, Bologna 2001, 116 pages).
The catalogue of the exhibition Matite Africane includes many works that never have been previously published in readily available sources. The unique primary materials and the arrangement of the resources makes this volume unique. The collection of volumes is valuable for many scholars and library collections.
