Prohibition to come back at midnight – It’s midnight and a boy hasn’t returned home yet. His father prepares the whip to beat him. His younger daughter is scared, and his wife is annoyed because she thinks her son is old enough to argue verbally with his father.
As soon as he gets back home, the boy justifies his delay by blaming his new job. He sells turkey meat, and so his dad forgives him and asks him to cook a “fu fu”; a traditional Congolese dish made of corn and cassava.
