Two people are sitting at a table, one in front of the other. The first one strikes a match to light a candle at the centre of the table. The second one blows violently and extinguishes it. The first person starts again but the other blows the candle out again. On the third attempt, a crowd appears behind them. They all hold a lit candle in their hands. The author concludes: “Evil wins when good people are passive”.
